Why hello there! My name is Emily. Have you ever been lying in bed, a story pops into your head, and you just have to write it down? Fictional writing is a gateway that transports us to another world where we can escape the dangers of reality. If we don’t write our ideas down, how will we be able to access the portal again? 

From the age of eight, I fell in love with creative writing—and I haven't put down the pen since! When I was fourteen I decided to pursue authorship as a career. And so, after graduating from Cuesta College with my English AA, I enrolled in the Author Conservatory to make my dream a reality! Today, I’m a virtual English tutor and aspiring author. It’s remarkable to look back on a dream I had as a little kid and see it turn into my life passion and career! 

 If there’s one thing I want you to do with your writing, it’s to put all of your heart into it. Your writing is your story. Your message. What's on your heart that you wish for the world to hear? Pick up that pen—and write!
